RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

What is RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults?

RCIA is a class for people for those who desire to be received in full communion to the Catholic Church and also for those who would like to know more about the Roman Catholic faith.

This includes Catechumens, Candidates and Inquirers.

* Catechumens are people who have never been baptized by any Christian Church.
* Candidates are individuals who have been baptized in any Christian church (including Roman Catholics) but have not been confirmed in the Catholic Church.
* Inquirers are those who want to know more about the Roman Catholic Church.

Classes will begin in the fall of each year and last until after Easter in the following year.
The lectures and sessions are held here at the Cathedral of St. Peter-in-Chains.
